Dear Parent or Carer,
Welcome to the St Mary’s Catholic Nursery and Infant School community! As your child will be starting Reception in September 2020 and due to the COVID-19 outbreak we have had to organise our transition differently this year. You would have received a letter informing you or your child’s Reception class during the week. Children will come in shorter sessions working up to a full session on Thursday 10th September. To allow for transitioning we have put the children into groups, (please see your email for your child’s group). The dates and times your child will need to attend school are below, these are also available on our website, under Admissions, New starters.
All parents will need to adhere to social distancing when bringing children to and from school. Please be aware of the distancing rule at the time (expectations for adults regarding the wearing of masks will be communicated nearer the time) and although we understand that many parents may have queries for the teacher to answer we request that you contact the school office to book an appointment with the class teacher if you have any questions.
It is expected that all children will be attending full time school from Thursday 10th September. For those children who need more time to settle into the routine, this will be decided on a one-to-one basis in consultation with parents/carers.
Yours faithfully
S A Hulme
Mrs S Hulme MA, NPQH
Executive Headteacher
